200 Hour Teacher Training begins January 2018

We believe the journey of becoming a yoga teacher is a transformational experience that will allow participants to practice and share the gift of yoga for the rest of their lives. With a foundation in aligned vinyasa, Elevate Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training ensures students have a thorough understanding of yoga in order to offer safe, smart, and creatively sequenced classes. Our training provides the fundamentals to teach many styles of yoga, from vinyasa flow to therapeutics, in group settings or private lessons. Elevate Yoga Teacher Training establishes a clear basis for asana practice, while allowing each teacher’s individuality to shine.

With over 30 years of teaching experience among them, Dina Crosta, Ellen Mosko, and Jamie Hanley all hold the E-RYT 500 designation with Yoga Alliance. Trainees will spend the majority (180 hours) of training face-to-face with their trainers, practicing and learning to teach asana, examining anatomy both physically and energetically, looking at bodies in the asana practice, understanding how to sequence a class, studying philosophy, pranayama and mediation, learning how to take the seat of the teacher, and practice teaching. In addition, trainees study speciality topics such as how to teach prenatal yoga, restorative yoga, ayurveda, and business and ethics of yoga.

Elevate your practice and learn to teach with us, beginning Fall 2017 at Elevate Yoga in Hazlet. Our training meets over the course of thirteen weekends, from January 2018 through July 2018, approximately every third weekend.

Elevate Yoga Teacher Training graduates will be accredited at the 200-Hour Level with Yoga Alliance. Upon graduation, graduates will be able to register with Yoga Alliance and receive the RYT credential.
